Email, Text but not face to Face

So earlier this week I got some work related news telling me when my contract at work was up. However instead of being pulled aside and someone saying in private "Just to let you know your contract is up in two months and we are not going to renew" all the temps got a shoddy group email.

I for one am not happy with this, I think its unprofessional and shows a distinct lack of character and class. I have had a rant with the person who sent this email, her manager and my managers manager for a lack of communication. In the age of multi media, social media and communication I find it rather bizarre that professionals (and recruitment consultants) can get communication so wrong.
